B.E.S.T. Basketball Chicago is a training program offering Chicago's most experienced coaching in a true basketball camp format, followed by competitive games. Our optimal player:coach ratio and camp station format benefits each and every player. Each coach quickly assesses the current skill level at each station, and improves the group based on their current abilities. Each week players participate in skills mini-camps consisting of large group drilling, skill-based smaller group detailed drilling, and competitive games. Players are challenged according to skill level at a level that pushes them hard to get better each and every minute they are at our training. Every session is a three-hour skills development session that includes a game for every player. Life lessons of discipline towards a worthy goal, leadership, and teamwork are attained by all players in our program.

B.E.S.T. Introductory Division:

  • Typically 3rd-4th grade athletes, but also less experienced older players
  • Learn fundamental movement skills & build overall motor skills, introduce team principles & concepts, play a 3-on-3 schedule plus group skill competitions
  • All divisions participate in skills stations for 2 of the 3 hours and play games for 1 of the 3 hours they are at a B.E.S.T. session
  • B.E.S.T. recommends participating 1X-2X per week in basketball & participate daily in other sports activities, and minimal 5-on-5 competition until fundamentals are further developed

B.E.S.T. Foundational Division:

  • Typically experienced 5th-6th grade basketball players, but also very experienced younger players and less experienced older players
  • Learn fundamental & basic basketball-specific skills, spending ~2/3 of time on individual fundamental training and ~1/3 of time on actual game competition.
  • Learn all position concepts, play 5-on-5 games, and play group skills & smaller team games (1-on-1, 2-on-2, 3-on-3, skill games)
  • All divisions participate in skills stations for 2 of the 3 hours and play games for 1 of the 3 hours they are at a B.E.S.T. session

B.E.S.T. Advanced Foundational Division:

  • Typically experienced 7th-11th grade players
  • Further develop & consolidate overall basketball skills and knowledge
  • Learn more targeted position concepts, play 5-on-5 games, and play group skills & smaller team games (1-on-1, 2-on-2, 3-on-3, skill games)
  • All divisions participate in skills stations for 2 of the 3 hours and play games for 1 of the 3 hours they are at a B.E.S.T. session
